Personal Injury Lawyers SATX is the San Antonio website of LAWBOSS – Uvalle Law Firm, PLLC, a Texas personal injury law firm. This page explains who we are, where the firm came from and how we work. The firm’s main website is lawboss.com.

Michael Uvalle, founding attorney

Michael Uvalle founded LAWBOSS – Uvalle Law Firm, PLLC. Before he became a lawyer, he worked for several of the largest insurance companies in Texas. From the inside he saw how injury claims are evaluated and defended: which records adjusters look for, how a claim file is scored, and why some injured people are paid fairly and others are not.

He decided to switch sides. He founded the firm to put that knowledge to work for injured people instead of for the insurers, and the firm calls it the Insurance Insider Advantage.

The firm

LAWBOSS has seven attorneys and offices in San Antonio, Houston and Dallas. Several of them came to the firm the same way its founder did. Among them are a former insurance adjuster and insurance defense attorney, a trial attorney who spent more than a decade as a senior trial attorney for a major automobile insurer, a litigation attorney with more than 20 years at two of the nation’s largest auto and commercial insurers, and a former workers’ compensation adjuster and manager. They now represent people on the other side of those claims.

The firm handles car, truck and 18-wheeler, motorcycle and drunk driver accidents, premises liability and slip and fall cases, dog bites, workplace injuries, catastrophic injuries such as brain and spinal cord injuries, and wrongful death. The full list is on our practice areas page.

Work Hard and Do Right

That is the firm’s motto, and its values are integrity, determination, client-centered service and action. The firm also has a word for the way it wants to practice: Lawthentic, meaning honest, transparent and human. In practice it comes down to a few habits:

  • We answer the phone. The phones are answered 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays.
  • We tell you the truth about your claim, including when it is small, when it has a weak point, or when we are not the right firm for it.
  • We explain each step before it happens, so you are never guessing where your case stands.
  • Every decision about settling is yours. We give you our view and the reasons for it.

Fees

Fees and case costs

The first consultation is free. You pay no attorney’s fee unless we recover money for you. We advance the costs of investigating and pursuing your claim, and if there is no recovery you do not repay those costs. How the fee and the advanced costs are paid out of a recovery is set out in the written fee agreement you sign before we start.

This website

Personal Injury Lawyers SATX is the firm’s own website for San Antonio. It is not a directory or a referral service: calls and forms from this site go to LAWBOSS, and the attorneys who handle your claim are the firm’s own. The pages explain Texas personal injury laws, how a case works, what to do after an accident and how to choose a lawyer.

Call LAWBOSS. The consultation is free and the phones are answered 24 hours a day.

Legal information

This site is attorney advertising and general information, not legal advice. Reading it or contacting us does not create an attorney-client relationship. The attorney responsible for this site and the firm’s office are named at the foot of every page.
